General Job Description | This is a casual position responsible for cooking and serving daily lunch, morning, and afternoon snacks on an as-needed basis. Responsible for following operational procedures for efficient and effective food production and distribution. Responsible for supporting the execution of the food service program and maintaining a safe and sanitary environment according to federal, state, local, university, and school school policies and laws. Works under general supervision, with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Food Service Program Manager or a functional lead in the manager’s absence. |

Required Education | High school diploma or equivalent is required. |
Required Experience and Training | No directly related experience is required. Texas Food Handler Certification is required at time of hire. |

Specific Job Requirements/Duties for this Posting | This position is designed to support the food service program in the event of staff absence and/or peak periods.
