Job Description

Mechanical Services, Inc. is currently seeking to fill the position of HVAC/R Technician based in our Presque Isle, Maine office. Successful candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years of experience servicing, repairing, and installing commercial heating, ventilation & air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and heat pump systems. Will possess a Maine State Gas license with appliance service and installation endorsement preferred, large equipment endorsement would be a plus. Journeyman Oil #2 under 15 GPH license required. Over 15 GPH a plus.

Professional & interpersonal skills are required to properly represent Mechanical Services, Inc., to customers, vendors, and other contractors in an ethical and professional manner. Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively.

Must possess a valid Maine driver’s license and be able to successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment medical evaluation. Some state-wide travel may be expected with some overnight stays but very infrequently. The ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment, within a diverse team is very important.

Must be able to read, write and understand equipment manufacturer’s documentation. Must be able to communicate effectively with our engineering department, customers, end-users, and all building trades. Must be able to safely access construction sites, mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other areas where equipment may be located.
