Veterinary Teaching Hospital At the CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH), we exist to educate the next generation of veterinarians by providing exceptional veterinary care and service to the community every day. This work unit exists to care for the basic needs of animals at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and to provide routine disinfection and service to all areas of the hospital, which serves as a teaching facility for veterinary students, as a medical facility for veterinary research, and as a public animal health clinic for exotic, large and small animals. Position Summary |
This is an essential worker position and must be willing and able to report to work as directed to perform essential and/or emergency services without delay or interruption. The successful candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States by the proposed start date; the department will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. A signing bonus may be considered for eligible and successful candidates. This is a part-time position, typically working 30 hours/week. Additional working hours may be required depending on department’s needs. Hours are primarily overnights and weekends |
Required Job Qualifications |

Two years of experience as defined by the department will substitute for each year of required education. A bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree from an accredited college or university in veterinary/animal health technology will substitute for the associate’s degree and, at the agency’s discretion, the year of experience.
NOTE:
VETERINARY PRACTICE ACT – Effective January 1, 2024, anyone wanting to use the titles Registered Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Technician, RVT, or VT will have to be certified through the Colorado Association of Certified Veterinary Technicians (CACVT) AND registered through the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA).
