Job Description: |
Purpose of Job This position is responsible for performing the duties of patrolling and securing facility, buildings and grounds. Job Functions
Performs essential security functions to protect the assets of Ridgeview Medical Center from loss, damage, and /or unauthorized access. Patrols and provides escorts at assigned locations. Fulfill key responsibilities during organization's management of emergency plans. Respond to security emergencies as well as various calls for service and assist as needed Monitors critical building security systems such as cameras, alarms, access controls, etc. Maintains and properly operates equipment including radio, emergency vehicle, and assigned use of force equipment Cites non-compliance related to administrative policies such as smoking, parking, and regulations related to safety and security Successfully complete all required training (ASP, MOAB, Taser, ICS 100 & 200, etc.) Complete daily logs and incident reports Performs other duties as assigned Minimum Education/Work Experience
High school graduate or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years old in order to meet Ridgeview's insurability requirements Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Capable of making independent decisions with the use of good critical thinking and problem solving skills
Ability to meet and maintain the necessary background checks as aligned with position functions
Ability to communicate in the English language for effective written and verbal correspondence in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
Ability to respond appropriately to unpredictable situations and diverse patient populations
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions in the English language and respond accordingly in order to complete job functions as mentioned above
License/Certifications CPR/First Aid (within 6 months of hire) annually Valid MN driver's license and meets Ridgeview's insurability requirements Preferred Qualifications International Association of Healthcare Safety Security (IAHSS) Basic Level Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) (within 6 months of hire) Incident Command System (ICS) 100, 200 (within 1 year of hire) OSHA HAZWOPER Certification (within 1-year of hire) Annually Dynamic Encounters TASER, ASP, Repuls/AIP, Management of Aggressive Behaviors (M.O.A.B) Compensation Many factors are taken into consideration when determining compensation such as: the requirements of the position, experience, education, knowledge, and skills along with location and internal equity.
