Position Summary Information

General Summary
In a team environment, the Water/ Waste Water Systems Assessments Intern is responsible for assisting our sections within Water/ Waste Water Division. Responsibilities include assisting in assignments related to water condition assessment, sewer condition assessment, collection system analysis in the Line Blockage Analysis Program, and helping the county inspection crews.
Essential Functions
  • Assist with management of flow monitoring program
  • Assist with management of asset armoring and stream protection program
  • Assist with management of inflow and infiltration program
  • Assist with management of closed circuit television program
  • Assist with management of pre-stressed cylinder concrete pipe program
  • Assist with management of metallic water main inspection program
  • Assist with management of small and large valve inspection program
  • Assist the Project Managers and the Associate Project Manager with overseeing the implementation of the Consent Decree.
  • Assist with verifying data for the quarterly reports and individual submissions.
  • Assist in reviewing daily sever reports to ensure that all Sanitary Sewer Overflows have been confirmed and reported to the regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in preparing five day written reports for all SSO’s

Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
Completion of 2 years of college

Additional Requirements
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferences
Major in a STEM discipline
Salary Commensurate with education and experience
