We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator and Warehouse Support Member to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to efficiently operate a forklift to move materials and products around our facility. Additionally, you will play a role in ensuring that employees have the necessary materials and supplies to sustain their workflow.
Starting Pay: $19/hr, depending on experience
Primary Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to transport materials and products between the yard and warehouse
Conduct routine maintenance checks on the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition
Ensure accurate equipment movement and material handling activities as directed by the Yard Foreman
Assist in organizing and maintaining the yard inventory
Collaborate with team members to fulfill orders and meet deadlines
Monitor inventory levels and report any shortages or inventory discrepancies to the appropriate personnel
Support other warehouse functions such as gathering equipment to support shipping/receiving tasks
Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations
Requirements:
Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification
Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or similar setting
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Strong communication skills among team for safety and operational reasons
Commitment to safety protocols and procedures
Flexibility to work Saturdays as necessary
