Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge and understanding of aviation regulations and best practices, specifically Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Aircraft & Powerplant (A&P)
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders within the school and industry
- Detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate records and documentation
- Enthusiasm for aviation education and a commitment to upholding high standards in training future aviation maintenance professionals
Required:
- Associate degree or the equivalent combination of training, experience, and/or education
- Three to five years of experience in the aviation industry, preferably in aircraft maintenance
- Current FAA A&P Certification
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance or a closely related filed
- Previous experience in training in an aviation-related context
- Current FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) Certification
Salary: The normal hiring salary range for this position is in the low to mid-50s and is commensurate with training, education, and experience and will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion.
