The Opportunity

This position works out of our Wiesbaden-Delkenheim Abbott GmbH location.

Validation Specialist (Associate Professional Quality) 

Primary Function 

Conducts quality-related activities to deliver consistent, high-quality documents, services, products, and processes, which add value to the business.   

Core Job Responsibility  

  • Planning, initiation, and coordination of validation projects, e.g., cleaning, process and equipment qualification/validation including validation of computerized systems. 
  • Perform Periodic Validation Reviews in alignment with current industry standards. 
  • Participates as Member in Cross Functional Teams regarding validation topics. 
  • Ensures compliance to division & site policies and procedures. 
  • Support internal and external audits  
  • Defines project goals and milestones. 
  • Responsible for timely project completion.  
  • Ensures that solutions are compliant, innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organizational objectives.   
  • Applies problem-solving tools. 

Education  

  • Apprenticeship or Bachelor or master’s degree in Life Science, Engineering, or closely related discipline is required OR relevant combination of education or experience. 

Background 

  • At least 2 years work experience in Validation, Engineering, Quality, Production or related field experience; Less experience may be appropriate with advanced degree. 
  • Preferred experience in the Healthcare industy. 
  • Knowledge of GxP regulations, quality regulations/guidelines (e.g., FDA, ICH, WHO) and in data integrity 
  • Fundamental knowledge of statistics 
  • Demonstrated successful project execution e.g., through previous positions or work experience. 
  • Fluent written and spoken German and English.
