About the Job
We are seeking to hire an individual to assist in lab and field research in aquatic ecology. Will assist a team of scientists with large-scale indoor and outdoor experiments and sampling of Great Lakes harbors. About 50% of the time will be spent assisting with experiments and 50% of the time will be spent in boats on the water assisting with collecting physiochemical parameters and zooplankton.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Comfortable spending several hours at a time on a 16-18-foot boat.
Bachelor's degree in a field of science (preferably biology, chemistry, or biochemistry).
BA/BS or a combination of related education and work experience to equal four years; applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience conducting mesocosm experiments.
