Scope:

  • Compliance Specialist should exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. They should be well organized and have a high attention to detail. They should have excellent problem solving skills. They should have excellent communication and negotiation skills and be able to work in a team atmosphere or independently. Should be able to work overtime due to month and year end deadlines and other special projects as directed by manager.
  • Works on assignments that are of low to moderate complexity. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Supports  the attainment of the organization's goals and objectives. Failure to achieve desired results may cause  delays in schedules and have a cost impact
  • Interacts daily with supervisor and other procurement organization staff, functional peer groups, suppliers and internal customers.
  • Normally receives no instruction on routine work, and general instruction on progressively more complex assignments. Uses developing professional concepts to solve a variety of problems.

Knowledge, Skills & Ability 

Reviews new contracts / statements of work and enters them into the Accounting System. Review consultants time sheets, reconciles errors and enters time into the work order system. Generates bills throughout month for Fixed Price and standard contracts. Maintains files and provides invoice copies to customers or headquarters. Serves as the liaison between local project managers and headquarters on billing issues. Receives instructions from project managers regarding status of contracts. Monitors progress completion and billing. Reconciles monthly bill summaries provided from project managers to time entered in work orders to ensure billing completeness and accuracy. Answer inquires related to billing.

Education & Experience 

0-2 Years of experience with a master's degree; 2-4 years of experience with a bachelor's degree; 6-8 years of experience with an associate's degree or 8-10 years of experience with a high school diploma.

Abilities:

  • Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
  • Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
  • Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
  • Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
  • Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • Identify and understand the speech of another person.
