SUNY Cortland’s History Department seeks applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in History/Adolescence Education Social Studies at the Assistant Professor rank beginning Fall 2024.

The successful candidate joins a dynamic and growing History Department with more than 230 undergraduate majors and twelve tenured or tenure-track faculty members. Its robust curricular offerings support undergraduate majors in history and adolescence education in social studies as well as an online graduate master’s degree in history. The search committee will conduct Webex interviews with selected candidates. Those candidates will be asked to submit additional materials (e.g. a course syllabus and/or teaching materials for a social studies methods course) prior to the Webex interview.
