Objectives
Set up, program, and verify industrial equipment in accordance with customer and product specifications using product software, manufacturing metrology and technical publications.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure that assembled products conform to customer specifications
Program PLCs, OEM components and electrical components
Introduction to basic troubleshooting - mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, software
Provide feedback to assembly team of non-conformances found or opportunities for improvement
Read and utilize blueprints, hydraulic schematics, and electrical schematics
Provide work center guidance and training of other associates.
Identify and implement solutions for improved product build process, design, or work center layout
Assist Value Stream Leadership in ensuring work center or business goals are achieved measured by Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost key performance indicators
Use and interpret blueprints, product specifications and technical specifications
Understanding and demonstrated performance of multiple work center requirements and manufacturing disciplines
Trouble shoot and problem solve assembly challenges and work with support departments to create corrective action
Active participation in team daily management and problem solving
Work as part of a team to achieve daily production goals in an industrial manufacturing environment
Use various types of hand tools in Test
Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
Inform Value Stream leadership of Safety or Quality non-conformances or opportunities for improvement
Participate in continuous improvement activities
Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalency certificate (GED)
3+ years’ experience with medium/heavy mechanical assembly required
Demonstrated performance of thorough understanding of blueprints and technical documentation
Ability to interpret hydraulic and electrical schematics
Ability to operate mechanical and electrical tooling
Ability to operate industrial equipment
Attention to detail, quality, and safety
Ability to use judgment to perform and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures
Ability to work productively and cohesively in a diverse and multicultural environment
