WORK SCHEDULE

    POSITION HIGHLIGHTS 
  • Prepares and serves food items for patient meal service and ensures food is handled safely and presented attractively
  • Ensures tray accuracy for patient meal orders and performs heavy cleaning and sanitation duties in the dish room and kitchen
  • Maintains safety and sanitation standards in work area and uses proper cleaning and handling techniques with kitchen equipment

    PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Check and prep starter positions for all supplies, condiments, silverwares, hot base, domes, and trays. Check par level stock on the fridge and check expiration dates. 
  • Work in the tray assembly line. In charge of the ticket printer.
  • Put menu on the tray, retrieve hot food from the cooks area. Check and ensure hot food items quality and presentation.
  • Restock area and refrigerators with supplies for next day operation.
  • Use FIFO method. Record meal count for the day on the log sheet.
  • Check ticket printer and juice machine. Check and monitor cold food items temperature, par level stock, and expiration datess
  • Preps Ambassador Cart for loading station. Set up timers, tray location log and hand gel.
  • Stock up coffee mugs, soup bowl, glasses to tray line station. Wash and return retriever cart to park in the side hallway
  • Disassemble and clean dish machine interior and exterior including the top hood of the machine. Soak curtains and rods in the sink overnight. Wash down the silverware station, the top and bottom shelf of the wash down table.

    REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
    Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment.
