Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking Software Manager Data Analytics – 12863. This position will be located in Roy, Utah and will support the Strategic Deterrent Systems Division.
Work with Product Owner to develop strategies in both Data Engineering and Data Science to follow the Product Owner’s Strategic Analytics Roadmap.
- Maintain appropriate communication with Product Owner while communicating with Customers regarding their Data Engineering/Data Science needs.
- Mentor members of the GDAS Data Engineering team through one-on-one assistance & guidance, building and maintaining GDAS Data Engineering Standards and Processes in Confluence, and leading by example through producing quality Data Pipelines that follow GDAS Data Engineering Standards in a timely manner.
- Design and Develop Data Pipelines that Export, Transform, and Load (ETL) data from multiple different ASoT’s and Systems while following GDA.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
- 6 Years of relevant experience with Bachelors in STEM degree in either Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Computer Science.
- US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
- 1+ year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- Data Science Degree, Graph theory, graph database, software architecture, database, AWS/Cloud, distributed SW architecture.
- 3+ years’ experience leading a technical team as a project, technical, and/or functional lead.
- 5+ years leading a team, including mentoring and coaching.
- Experience with individual contributor performance assessments.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
- Strong critical thinking and logical reasoning skills with the ability to solve issues and predict potential programmatic and technical risks.
