The Opportunity

We are looking for a dedicated Quality Engineer I to join our Electrophysiology team in Minnetonka, MN. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

In this role, you will support the sustainability of commercially released products by ensuring they meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain product quality, address nonconformances and enhance manufacturing processes. You will apply sound, systematic problem-solving methodologies in identifying, prioritizing, communicating, and resolving quality issues.

What You’ll Work On

  • Ensure products comply with quality system requirements.

  • Maintain strong collaborative partnerships with cross-functional team members.

  • Protect patient and user safety while meeting business needs.

  • Be present on the manufacturing floor to support production in quality decisions.

  • Enhance productivity and product quality through continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement correction activities for quality issues.

  • Monitor and report on product performance and quality metrics.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.

  • 0-2 years of experience in engineering or a related role.

    Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

The base pay for this position is $50,000.00 – $100,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
