Responsibilities

  • Produce designs for engineering requirements
  • Assure complete documentation of engineering requirements
  • Prepare and adhere to budgeted hours for project
  • Estimate, monitor and control construction costs
  • Coordinate engineering requirements with architecture and other engineering disciplines
  • Assure timely and appropriate processing of contractor submittals
  • Maintain project files and calculations for assigned projects
  • Assure quality and completeness of the engineering design
  • Perform and/or supervise on site condition surveys
  • Assess project staffing needs
  • Monitor conformance to project scope and document deviations at the time of discovery
  • Prepare technical reports
  • Participate in client meetings regarding engineering systems
  • Mentor staff; May provide supervision to other engineering team members on a project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent
  • Registered Professional Engineer
  • At least 7 years experience
  • Highly proficient in BIM
  • Maintain technical competence by staying current on appropriate codes and technologies
  • Proficient in the use of state-of-the-art tools for engineering design and documentation
  • Thorough understanding of the engineering systems within a specific discipline
  • Thorough understanding of advanced engineering principles and calculations
  • General understanding of engineering principles and systems within other disciplines
  • Expertise in area of concentration
  • Effective communication skills (written and oral)
  • Demonstrated thoroughness in design coordination and contract document development in area of concentration
  • Demonstrated record of consistent quality work

Base Compensation: $80,000 - $110,000

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skills and/or location)
