Join the HealthPartners Clinical Simulation team as a On-call Simulation Education Specialist!
The Simulation Education Specialist:
Conducts need assessments, and researches, collaborates with, recommends, and designs simulation experiences for customers/stakeholders across multidisciplinary teams.
Manages and evaluates the facilitation process of simulation experiences.

This role is vital to achieve our mission of improving health and patient safety through simulation-based programs designed to maximize the abilities of individuals, teams, and systems.
Who we are: We are a program within the HealthPartners Institute, dedicated to improving patient care, safety, processes and systems through innovative, simulation-based clinical education. We focus on a partnered relationship between learners and clinical leaders to ensure that the learning is subsequently applied in the clinical setting. Accredited since 2011, we were the first simulation program in Minnesota and surrounding states to be accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. In 2016, we were re-accredited in Teaching & Learning, Assessment and Systems Integration. We facilitate experiential learning opportunities at either the learner's location, in-situ (within actual clinical environments), or within the HealthPartners Clinical Simulation and Learning Center at Regions Hospital to promote teamwork, communication, skills mastery, clinical reasoning and systems improvement. Participants include: healthcare professionals in current practice as well as residents, medical students, nursing students, and advanced dental practitioner students.
Work schedule: On-Call Variable dates and times.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Five years clinical experience with one year teaching/training in a healthcare environment.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Must hold a current license in the related clinical discipline.
Must hold a current and valid Driver's License.
Must achieve certification of Certified Simulation Healthcare Educator (CHSE) within three years of hired.
Preferred Qualifications:
Education: Master's degree
Experience: Experience using simulation as a learning methodology. ICU/ED experience.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE)
RN, RT, PA-C, or EMT-P.
Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS
