Instructional Coach
Missouri Ridge Elementary
Job Summary: The Instructional Coach will support all K-12 staff in the implementation of the district curriculum. The Instructional Coach will work directly with staff in a school providing classroom-based demonstrations, collaborative and one-on-one support, and facilitating staff inquiry and related professional development. The Instructional Coach will focus on enhancing staff' ability to provide instruction that builds students' sense of engagement in the ownership of learning. The Instructional Coach will also work with administrators and teachers to support the district's mission, vision, and its initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Facilitate coaching cycles with teachers.
- Facilitate high-quality professional development for administrators and teachers.
- Create positive relationships with teachers and administrators.
- Communicate and demonstrate research-based instructional practices that result in increased student performance and improved classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with all members of the school district and community. Encourage professional growth and provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers.
- Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on the analysis of assessment data and culturally responsive practices.
- Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
- Participates in goal/plan setting and evaluation.
- Works with the principals to create a school-wide focus on smart goals for achievement. Provides individualized, classroom-based support to implement comprehensive curricular programs, including modeling of best teaching practices.
- Provides training in assessment procedures as needed.
- Works collaboratively with staff during professional learning communities (PLCs) to increase the quality of classroom instruction.
- Provides support for all teachers and staff for WBSD #7
- Assisting teachers in identifying, creating, and implementing SMART goals.
- Models curriculum through instructional best-practices, methodology, and pedagogy for all staff.
- Meets a minimum of 1 time a month with building principals.
- Observes safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions.
- Support MTSS processes.
- Support all district educational initiatives, mission and vision, and objectives.
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

TECHNOLOGY SKILLS:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Student Management software and Google Workspace Apps preferred.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
ND Teaching Credential. Title I Credentials in Reading is preferred. 3+ years of successful teaching experience required.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
A nine-month teaching contract with additional days is needed, approved by the School Board. To be determined upon employment.
