Committee What you will accomplish as a Field Technician at TAPCO: The
Intelligent Warning Systems Technician has the technical skills to
install, troubleshoot, service, and perform maintenance on a variety of
solar-powered as well as AC-powered safety systems. They possess strong
problem-solving skills, including diagnosis of electrical, mechanical,
wireless, and computer systems. This position will work with contractors
to install new devices, train users how to operate them, as well as
perform periodic maintenance for all types of TAPCO Made products. This
position will operate in the office and in the field, with travel up to
75% of the time throughout the United States. This position reports to
the IWS Service Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides
training to contractors, end users, and distributors Reviews sales
orders and project plans prior to going on-site to ensure they are
prepared Provides any necessary feedback about discrepancies or issues
to the Quality Department, Sales Team or Technical Sales Group Works
with Sales or TSG when necessary to assist with resolutions to problems
or customer concerns Requests sales quote generation and follow-up for
parts, services, upgrades and maintenance/support agreements; ongoing
coordination, renewal management and billing of associated contracts
Monitors, prioritizes, and follows up on all open service cases until
resolved and closed Perform installation, maintenance, and repairs to a
wide variety of electronic, computer, communication, network and other
systems Troubleshoot and repair equipment including diagnosing
electronic failures Assists with the acquisition process of maintenance
contracts; building the scope of work, site visits when necessary to
evaluate the current condition of equipment and creation of the
proposals. Performs other related work as required Required
