Patient Care Coordinator
Job Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Hadley, MA for a Patient Care Coordinator at Western Mass Hearing.
The Patient Care Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating patient care activities, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, processing patient paperwork, answering phone calls and emails, and assisting patients with inquiries or concerns. The coordinator will also manage patient billing and ensure patients receive necessary follow-up care.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
At least 2 years of experience in healthcare coordination, scheduling, or billing
Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills
Experience with medical terminology, using electronic medical records (EMR) and insurance billing codes
Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations
Familiarity with hearing healthcare or audiology services is a plus
