Amentum is currently seeking a Data Center Technician to join our team and support our Washington, D.C. customer onsite in a high-paced environment. We are looking for team members who are passionate about making a difference by working on critical efforts that we manage as a premier government contractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs day-to-day activities required to support the data centers, primarily performing activities such as installations, configurations, logistics, coordination, and control and tracking. 

  • Installs and manages configurations for all test equipment. 

  • Manages physical security, key access, organization, and software configurations for DCIM tools. 

  • Manages power and cabling requests, all data center equipment and racks, and scheduling of all hardware moves/adds/changes. 

  • Updates hardware inventory, wire map connections, workflows, and capacity reports. 

  • Utilizes change and configuration management database systems (such as TeamTrack), and service management systems (such as ServiceNOW) to provide updates and tracks and manages status using tools (such as NLyte).

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of related experience in Data Center support, administrating equipment installations and configurations

  • Possess a BICSI Certification (such as INST1, INSTC, INSTF, TECH, RCDD, DCDC, RTPM, and/or OSP) or equivalent networking certification (such as CCNA or Network+)

    • An additional 2 years of relevant experience supporting Data Centers can be substituted for lack of certification

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with ServiceNow

  • Familiarity with NLyte

  • Familiarity with TeamTrack
