Accounts Payable Representative - Travel and Expenses (F/M/X)

About the role

  • Our Accounts Payable Travel and Expenses team, composed of 8 people, is integrated into the Procurement department and focuses on managing the expenses of collaborators in collaboration with Procurement and Finance.
  • As an Accounts Payable Travel and Expenses Representative, you will work on posting expense reports in SAP, account reconciliation, and solving errors and problems based on the solutions given in the documentation to support a global market. You will get the opportunity to contribute to the Travel and Expenses team and have a positive impact on the Group Solvay.


You will be accountable for:

  • Perform daily transactional operations according to operational procedures, ensuring service quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize ERP and expense processing tool (Concur) for operations and administer T&E/Pcard activities.
  • Verify expense report legitimacy and validate correction requests.
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders using defined communication channels.
  • Maintain and enhance knowledge of group policies, operational procedures, and tools, as well as drive continuous improvement by proposing and implementing new ideas.
  • We offer a fixed-term (9-month) contract based on a hybrid working mode.

About you

  • Relevant education degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or Procurement
  • Relevant work experience in Global Business Services in Procurement


Competencies:

  • Knowledge and experience working in SAP environment, especially WP1 PF1 and PI1 (preferable)
  • Fluency in English (other languages are seen as nice to have)
  • Excel/Google Sheets knowledge

About the pay and benefits

  • Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While Portugal base pay reasonably expected for this role is 1300 EUR to 1400 EUR, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
