Job Description:
General Purpose:
Provide logistical support for both the plant and its outside warehouse. Process internal warehouse transfers and external domestic and export sales orders. Compile and create shipping paperwork for finished product along with maintaining accurate records of shipping volumes. Schedule shipping and delivery appointments along with process returns, corrections, samples, and exports.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Process incoming raw ingredient and packaging shipping documents
Coordinate with internal business partner to ensure timely delivery of product
Assist plant and outside warehouses with troubleshooting inventory discrepancies
Reconcile inventory quantities and miscellaneous adjustments, as needed
Assist with annual physical inventory activities
Create transfer orders on shipments prior to loading
Assign correct batches to each load
Maintain accurate records of shipping volumes by day
Process additional customer requests as necessary including additional documentation
Process stock transfer orders and maintain necessary information
Reconcile EDI and SAP for outside 3PL Warehouse shipments
Settling Whey/Cream loads with customers
Create shipments and deliveries on sales orders in SAP, as needed
Answer phones and direct calls as appropriate
Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues
Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive
Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment
Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity
Attend required training, including but not limited to, Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF)

Minimum Requirements:
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED
Experience with Inventory management, warehouse, and shipping preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of and skill with Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems, Excel, Word, Windows, and SAP
Able to operate office machines including scanner, copy machine, and personal computer (PC)
Able to work with accuracy and attention to detail
Able to multi-task and perform two or more tasks at one time
Must be dependable and reliable
Must be able to work weekends or holidays, if necessary
Must be able to read, write and speak English
