What You Will Do:
Assist in the daily operations of the residence, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, agency policies, and quality programs.
Oversee individuals' personal allowances, bank accounts, and financial records.
Monitor medication administration to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards.
Promote the health, well-being, and personal choice of individuals.
Assist in the training, supervision, and evaluation of all assigned direct care staff.
Assist the manager in creating and maintaining weekly staff schedules.
Oversee all program documentation.
Perform duties of a direct support professional as needed.
Complete incident reports as required.
Proactively communicate with families to provide updates on the individuals within the residence
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree in related field preferred, minimum of 60 college credits.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the I/DD field.
Knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to handle emergencies in a professional manner.
Drivers License: A valid and clean New York State drivers license is required.
Familiarity with eVero, ADP, and Microsoft Office is a plus.
Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
Daily standing, bending and lifting
Work Location: Residential house located in Nassau County (Glen Cove).
Work Hours/Schedule: Full-time, Sunday: 12 pm to 8 pm, Monday Thursday: 10 am to 6 pm, Fri/Sat OFF; with availability by phone to answer questions and address incidents outside of these hours
Work Hours/Schedule: Tuesday Saturday 12 PM 8 PM
Pay: $19.21/hr.

Paid Time Off:
Up to 80 hours of vacation during the first calendar year of employment. Employees are eligible to accrue 8 additional vacation hours each subsequent calendar year of employment up to a maximum of (120) hours
