Job Description:
Interstate Power Systems is currently looking for Heavy-Duty Diesel Technicians for our Second Shift with Heavy Duty Truck as well as Trailer repair experience at our Lakeville Minnesota location. This position does not require a CDL but having one or the willingness to obtain a CDL license is highly preferred.
Second Shift: Monday-Friday 3:30pm-12:00am
We are excited to offer paid time off available to use right away and offer a work environment in a state-of-the-art facility with fully air-conditioned service bays, a chassis, engine, and transmission Dyno, as well as a full drive thru steam cleaning bay
Mechanic Job Duties
Responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair on all types of trucks and trailers.
Accurately and efficiently diagnose complex engine conditions and make necessary repairs.
Communicate effectively with peers, foreman, and service team regarding those repairs.
Quality control work performed to ensure maximum customer satisfaction.
Keep paperwork updated and handed in upon completion
Meet requirements for certifications
Technician Position Requirements
Valid Driver's license (Bonus compensation for CDL holders)
Must possess a good work ethic, a positive attitude, and be reliable.
Must possess an excellent understanding of Allison Transmissions and Detroit Diesel engines through the current GHG17 product.
Experience with other engine platforms such as Cummins, CAT, & International are a plus.
Other mechanical skills desired but not essential: Hydraulics, Brakes & Suspension, Manual Transmissions and drive train, automatic transmissions.
