Job Summary

The CADD Technician/ Designer is a progressive position within the engineering design team. The CADD Technician/ Designer II is an advanced entry level position that utilizes computer aided drafting and design (CAD) software to provide entry level support to the engineering design team for oil and gas residential, retail or commercial clients. The CADD Technician / Designer will assist with preparing layouts, detail drawings, preliminary and final drawings, sketches, and diagrams as needed for permitting and construction. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Education and Experience: Associate degree or certificate in engineering, engineering technology, or drafting technology or bachelor’s degree in engineering, Landscape Architecture or related field, minimum of two years’ experience as a CADD Technician / Designer I, Intermediate use of software including but not limited to: AutoCAD/Civil 3D, MicroStation/InRoads, Microsoft Office, and other applicable design software commonly used, Intermediate understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology, Possesses technical aptitude with the ability to complete basic mathematical calculations related to civil engineering.
