The UW School of Medicine's Educational Quality Improvement (EQI) Program has an excellent opportunity for a Program Operations Analyst (E S 8) (working title: Accreditation Program Analyst). The Accreditation Program Analyst will play a key role in providing program data analysis and data-driven recommendations to the EQI Office in Academic Affairs and committees that EQI supports at the University of Washington School of Medicine. The position is dedicated to optimizing continuous quality improvement strategies to ensure compliance with the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) standards, accreditation readiness and monitoring the school’s strategic plan outcomes under the auspices of EQISP (Educational Quality Improvement and Strategic Planning) Committee. To do so, the Accreditation Program Analyst will perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis of operational performance metrics and develop reports and visual tools for the EQI Office and the committees that EQI supports. This role requires proactive analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and timely in response to data-related inquiries, problems, or concerns from stakeholders including academic and regional affairs deans, governance committees and School of Medicine faculty and staff. The position also provides administrative support to the EQI, Academic Affairs Data Interest Group, and the LCME Self-Study Committees with project management, process improvement initiatives, and meeting minutes, etc. The Accreditation Program Analyst will report to the Director of Educational Quality Improvement and indirectly to the Associate Dean of EQI and is anticipated to work with stakeholders listed above. Position Complexities: The Accreditation Program Analyst’s work influences the quality of education for over 1,000 enrolled medical students in the medical school’s regional educational system across Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho. The position plays a critical role in planning, analyzing, and reporting continuous quality improvement data. The Accreditation Program Analyst is integral to assuring that the EQI Office and committees fulfill their responsibility. This position requires the following: To be successful, the individual must 1) understand the goals and interests of the unit and the School; 2) establish and maintain collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders; 3) maintain accurate, efficient, and transparent communication; and 4) take initiatives to learn innovative and creative skills to improve the services of the unit. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Data Analysis and Reporting (40%) Operational Support (30%) Survey and Data Coordination (15%) UW SoM Medical Student Education Program Strategic Planning (15%) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT The position may require the employee to work beyond a normal work week (e.g. more than 40 hours a week) and intermittently requires evening and weekend time to participate in medical student programs, meet project deadlines, and attend meetings.
