Position Summary

The Scientific Intern will work in the Product Development team focused on the Sterility Assurance Portfolio. They will employ analytical methodologies including various bench and wet chemistry work. The position will require accurately maintaining and recording test data. Must possess the ability to perform and accurately document tasks according to established Work Instructions and written protocols in a timely manner. Must be able to work on multiple studies at different stages of the process.

This internship is for Summer 2024 (May - August)

Duties

* Follows work instructions for sterile assurance product testing.

* Performs analytical testing, accurately records data, and communicates results in a timely manner.

* Works under direct supervision with specific instructions.

* Carries out routine tasks independently.

* Operates and maintains laboratory equipment.

* Understands and complies with accepted regulatory, laboratory and safety procedures.

* Demonstrates working successfully in a team environment.

* Demonstrates oral communication skills: Reporting of laboratory results to supervisor are accurate.

* Perform all work in a safe and environmentally conscious manner.

Required Experience

Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry is preferred.

Minimum Educational Requirement: Successful completion of Sophomore level coursework or above by May 2024.

Successful completion of organic chemistry 1 is required.

Requires 1-2 years of related laboratory experience (lab courses or internship).
