Assist with maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and lubricating all mechanical equipment, machinery, and components.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Observe all safety rules and utilize proper PPE as required.
  • Follow required GMP, FDA, and ISO regulations.
  • Understand theory, application, repairs, and the maintenance of hydraulic/pneumatic systems to meet operational specifications and tolerances.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, mechanical drawings, electrical prints, and other technical documents to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues.
  • Troubleshoot and analyze electrical, mechanical, and operational issues on all equipment and takes required corrective action to resolve these issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on all equipment.
  • Knowledgeable in 120/230/480 low voltages.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust and repair/replace electrical and control devices including AC or DC drives, contactors, motors, breakers, solenoids, power supplies, sensors, and indicator lights.
  • Has a clear understanding of predictive maintenance, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance workflow processes.
  • As required, maintain complete resin system function to ensure correct and continual resin conveyance to all running melt blown machines during on-call times. Resin system includes rail spur and rail cars, pumps, reclaim, conveying pipes, valves, and silos for the MNW mill.
  • Knowledgeable of standard manufacturing workplace computer programs, including Outlook and Excel.
  • Completes paperwork correctly and submits in a timely manner.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
  • Attend all training seminars provided by the company.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

Experience and requirements:

  • Completion of all required maintenance training and assessments.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge of all machinery, equipment, and components.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Basic knowledge of product specifications, quality specifications, goals, efficiency, scrap, and production.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to use all measuring tools, micrometers, Vernier calipers, etc.
  • Ability to run the equipment, hand tools, and power tools.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical requirements:

  • Walk / stand 100% of time during a 12–hour shift.
  • Frequent reaching overhead during shift.
  • Constant bending, kneeling, and climbing throughout shift.
  • Constant climbing and reaching into machines to fix jams.
  • Constant pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift.
  • Constant lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
  • Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control.
  • Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift.
  • Operation of roll manipulators, baler, and compactor.
  • Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area.
  • Required participation in a daily pre-shift warm-up routine.
