- Lead functional and technical landscape solution design for one or more complex business process domains such as Finance, Human Capital Management – Time Management, Logistics, Supply Planning, Procurement, Asset Management, Work Management, etc.
- Define multiple solution options and guide/ develop the understanding of the financial and value realization impacts of solution architecture alternatives.
- Define architectural standards, principles and the governance framework and processes to manage stakeholder decisions and safeguard the integrity of the solution architecture.
- Provide technical oversight, leading solution architecture related quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design documents and code reviews; provide direction and guidance to internal and external partners project resources to ensure the integrity of the solution architecture and business value capture.
- Execute knowledge management, thought leadership and innovation activities; act an advisor and mentor to architectural and technical resources providing guidance and motivation.
The essentials
- Ten (10) or more years of Solution Architecture/ Technical Solution Design experience across an ERP footprint.
- Five (5) or more years of experience facilitating workshops with various functional teams and end user stakeholders to translate complex business needs and requirements into appropriate technology solutions within an enterprise SAP ERP solution footprint covering SAP and non-SAP solutions.
- Experience and expert level knowledge of SAP/ERP applications/modules with deep understanding of related business processes and operating models spanning one or more business process domains.
- Experience communicating via both, written and oral communications, with senior executive management.
- Strong attention to detail with proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
The preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related technical field such as Business or Engineering.
- Ten (10) or more years of hands-on software engineering and application development experience within an enterprise SAP ERP solution footprint, including designing integrations between SAP and non-SAP solutions (on-premise, cloud or hybrid)
- Seven (7) or more years of experience serving as a Solution Architect, Technical Architect, Technical Lead or Enterprise Architect, in very complex enterprise application environments; this includes project related experience with upgrade or implementation projects.
- Experience with S/4 HANA Functional Modules 1909 or higher.
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform.
- Experience and strong understanding of the technical capabilities of multiple Hyperscalers (AWS or MS Azure) and their related SAP reference architectures.
- SAP ERP or S/4 HANA ERP implementation experience (at least 2 full lifecycle implementations).
- One or more of the following certification(s)\:
- SAP Professional Architect certification(s)
- TOGAF certification
- Project Management (SAP Activate, PMI, SAFe, ACP) certification(s)

- This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
