    We are searching for a Senior Accountant in New Orleans, Louisiana. The role is in accounting services and will handle the general ledger, preparing financial reports, overseeing account reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and tax regulations for multiple clients.


    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee and perform account reconciliations on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis and take necessary steps to resolve any discrepancies.

    • Collaborate with management to prepare budgets and financial forecasts, and monitor budget performance.

    • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

    • Utilize accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, CCH Prosystem, and Microsoft Excel to streamline reporting and workflows.

    • Ensure adherence to internal controls, tax regulations, and financial policies, and assist with internal and external audits.

    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency.

    • Provide mentorship and guidance to entry level accountants and support staff, and delegate tasks effectively to ensure completion of departmental objectives.

    • Ensure proper classification and documentation of transactions by maintaining and managing the general ledger, including journal entries and adjustments

    • The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.

    • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is a mandatory requirement for this role.

    • Experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is essential.

    • Expertise in Bank Reconciliations is required.

    • The candidate should have a solid understanding and experience in managing General Ledger.

    • Experience in preparing and reviewing Journal Entries is needed.

    • The candidate must have proficient skills in Microsoft Excel.

    • Familiarity and experience with Month End Close procedures are required.
