Job Description:

Apex Systems is looking for a Database Administrator for one of our healthcare clients, this position does require you to be onsite for the first few weeks, than transition to remote.

Database Administrator I Major Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of database server software and related products.

• Monitor database systems to ensure availability and performance.

• Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including backups, recovery, and performance tuning.

• Support the development of data models and database designs.

• Create and maintain documentation for databases and reports.

• Monitor and enforce database access controls.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding data privacy and security.

• Assist in the development and execution of disaster recovery plans.

• Provide support for database-related issues and troubleshoot problems as they arise.

• Stay updated with the latest database technologies and industry best practices.

• Propose and implement improvements to database systems and processes.

• Eagerly performs other tasks as assigned


Additional Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field or equivalent experience

· Possible evening and weekend hours as Overtime

· Prefer any certification on cloud tech related to DBA
