Position Purpose
We’re seeking spirited “can do” people to join our Manufacturing team in the exciting world of hazmat compliance.  Experience in silk screen printing production is preferred. This is a fast paced environment and requires a great attitude, attention to detail, punctuality and great quality control. Your ability to collaborate with others, communicate, and be dependable are all crucial for this job and able to stand for the whole day.


Essential Functions & Principal Accountabilities
 
  • Responsible for composition of art layouts and generation of films for Silkscreen Printing Presses. Participates with production of silk screens, familiar with various mesh screens and assists with composition of art layouts and generation of film and plates for Flexographic Presses. Use Adobe Creative cloud (primarily Illustrator), to produce flawless, accurate files for output. Act as liaison between Art Department and Manufacturing Department to promote seamless integration and efficient workflow.
  • Set-up pre-press files for new silk screen jobs.
  • Check job tickets to ensure accuracy.
  • Review/follow press schedules to provide jobs to press operators.
  • Review layout in job ticket and pull matching films.
  • Touch-up film.
  • Print new/replacement film.
  • File film in filing system.
  • Maintain electronic files for silk screen jobs.
  • Production of silk screens
  • Pull existing plates for flexographic press schedules.
  • Step and distort art files & print film for flexographic press.
  • Sign off on completed jobs.
  • Make plates for flexographic printing.
  • File, store, and organize printing plates.
  • Assist with maintaining equipment (printers, plate-making machine, etc.).
  • Create print-ready art files for internal and customer approval.
  • Proofread Artwork from other Production Artists.
  • Enter job-tracking data into workflow management system.
  • Use workflow management system to post jobs, track activity, and store files.
Education/Training/Experience
 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent. College level and/or trade school coursework is a plus.
  • Both Mac and Windows operating system knowledge desired.
  • Adobe Illustrator (Adobe Creative Suite)
  • MS Office skills

Minimum Qualification
  • Must be eighteen years of age.
  • Must pass the Drug Test.
  • Must pass the Background Check.
