    Job Description: Payroll Administrator (Contract-to-Hire)

    We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Administrator to join our team in the automotive industry, located in North Charleston, South Carolina. This role starts as a contract position with the opportunity to transition into a permanent role. As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of payroll data while supporting human resources administration. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage a variety of tasks while maintaining confidentiality in dealing with sensitive employee and company information.


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process and maintain payroll data, including working hours, sales volume, bonuses, commissions, and employee tax and benefit contributions (Source: RH Acronym Guide).
    • Verify and apply updates to payroll records, such as tax exemptions, insurance coverage, and changes from compensation, promotions, or transfers (Source: RH Acronym Guide).
    • Review wages and deductions for accuracy and ensure proper posting in payroll systems (Source: RH Acronym Guide).
    • Handle paychecks upon request and prepare periodic reports detailing earnings, taxes, and deductions (Source: RH Acronym Guide).
    • Process hiring and termination paperwork, including COBRA compliance, and maintain records for vacation and sick-day eligibility (Source: RH Acronym Guide).
