Position Summary: The Heavy Truck Service Manager is responsible for
managing the daily operations of the service department, ensuring the
efficient, safe, and profitable servicing of heavy-duty trucks. This
includes supervising service technicians, maintaining strong customer
relationships, overseeing workflow, and ensuring compliance with safety
and quality standards. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in
diesel truck repair, leadership experience, and a commitment to
exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities: Team Management & Leadership: Supervise, schedule,
and support service technicians and shop staff. Hire, train, and
evaluate performance of team members. Foster a collaborative and
safety-focused team environment. Service Department Operations: Oversee
diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of heavy trucks and commercial
vehicles. Monitor workflow and ensure timely completion of all repair
orders. Enforce safety, quality, and compliance standards (OSHA, DOT,
EPA, etc.). Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient shop environment.
Customer Service: Act as primary point of contact for service customers.
Provide accurate job estimates and keep customers informed throughout
the repair process. Address concerns or complaints and resolve issues in
a timely, professional manner. Administrative Duties: Review and manage
work orders, labor hours, warranty claims, and parts usage. Maintain
accurate service records and reports. Coordinate with parts and sales
departments as needed. Financial Performance: Monitor service department
profitability and efficiency. Assist with budgeting, cost control, and
revenue forecasting. Identify areas for improvement in productivity and
service profitability.

Qualifications: Experience: o 5+ years in heavy-duty truck repair or
fleet maintenance. o 2+ years of experience in a service management or
supervisory role. Education: o High school diploma or GED required. o
Technical certification or associate degree in diesel technology or a
related field preferred. Skills: o Strong leadership and communication
abilities. o Proficient in service management software and diagnostic
tools. o Solid understanding of diesel engines, electrical systems,
hydraulics, and DOT compliance. Certifications: o ASE certifications
preferred. o Valid driver\'s license required; CDL is a plus.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work in shop
