This position works Onsite out of our Alameda, California location for Lingo.

As a Consumer Product Manager, you’ll partner closely with the Director of Product and the Head of Product to develop and drive the product vision and strategy. You will lead the creation of exciting new products and features from inception to release. You will be responsible for leading a product squad with designers, developers and subject matter experts coaching the team and ensuring they know what they are expected to build and understand the vision and role of each team member. You will translate the product vision into detailed requirements and stories, manage the backlog and allocate resources to drive feature delivery. You must develop an in-depth understanding of the customer experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas to drive product engagement. You will manage strategic relationships with key internal and external partners and stakeholders to create buy-in for the product vision.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with product director to set ambitious and clear product vision and communicate it effectively to stakeholders, the team, and the rest of Lingo
  • Partner with product director to establish each feature’s business value, support messaging, communication and customer outreach as necessary
  • Define and own end to end squad output strategy from inception to production (product features, roadmaps, and OKRs)
  • Translate vision into detailed requirements, stories and acceptance criteria; prioritize and manage the backlog and allocate resources to drive complete and on-time feature delivery
  • Continuously improve backlog ensuring all items are clearly described, estimated and prioritized
  • Drive sprint release plans together with the scrum master and manage interdependencies (Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across teams)
  • Utilize market and industry knowledge to translate user needs into user stories and acceptance criteria. Maintain a backlog 2 to 3 spring ahead of the team. Perform acceptance testing on features before release
  • Articulate and conduct stakeholder review sessions and regularly report the progress made and impediments that need attention
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of the customer experience and use this knowledge to challenge the status quo, find new solutions and drive out of the box ideas to identify and fill product gaps, grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth
  • Exercise strong decision making by scoping and prioritizing activities based on business and customer impact
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and “roll up your sleeves” mentality while working closely with engineering teams to deliver quick time-to-market and optimal resources
     

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 5 years of business experience; 2 years of commercial experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience leading and influencing teams to identify and drive novel solutions to market
  • Previous experience collaborating with designers and developers in an agile framework and with agile planning tools such as Jira and Confluence to deliver products
  • Experience tracking product performance and identifying opportunities from analytics and data
  • Previous experience working in product management and marketing in consumer-related industries in general; health tech experience is preferable
  • Demonstrated experience in presenting and influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organization to drive business results
  • Previous experience leveraging business data to drive decision making in a fast-paced environment (Defining, tracking, and analyzing OKRs to act)

The base pay for this position is $112,000.00 – $224,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
