We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. The Bookkeeper will play an integral role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy, and implementing best practices in tracking the company’s financial transactions. Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025).
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and process invoices, track payments, and record expenses efficiently.
- Manage the payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees and proper reporting of payroll taxes.
- Generate financial reports (e.g., profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements) for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and monitor/forecast cash flow trends.
- Support the organization during financial audits by providing accurate and organized records.
- Implement and improve internal controls to promote compliance and reduce financial risk.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role (Source: US Demand for Skilled Talent Q1 2025).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and a working understanding of financial regulations.
- High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills to ensure accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Familiarity with tax filings and payroll processes is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- An associate’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Certification such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or similar accreditation.
