Smart Kids, Inc. Brief History

Founded in 2013, Smart Kids, Inc. is a public 501(c)3 organization that provides education tutorial sessions as part of its framework. Our mission statement is: We are committed to increasing the learning capacity of every child by helping them realize their full potential. Under the Smart Kids, Inc.'s umbrella, we provide programs that benefit K-12 grade level students from the Greater St. Louis Region. One of the programs that we provide is the Tutor Me Program. The Tutor Me Program is an after school program provides 1:1 tutoring/mentoring, nutritional snacks and beverages, STEM, character development, homework assistance, and financial literacy to students of school districts, charter schools, and other educational entities within the Greater St. Louis Region. The Tutor Me Program provides our services through this program through both in-person at our after school program and virtually. The Tutor Me Program provides a tutor for K-12 grade level students with their own tutor for the entire school year. This program runs from September to May of each school year.

The Explore St. Louis Summer Camp (ESSC) is another program under the Smart Kids, Inc.'s umbrella. ESSC's mission is to provide campers the opportunity to explore St. Louis through different events, exhibits, and field trips outside of their neighborhood. ESSC runs from May to August of each summer! Campers participate on various events, such as: Career Day activities, financial literacy, STEM programs and projects, Arts/Crafts/DIY projects, nutritional and health education and of course, tutoring.
