At IBM, Technical Solution Architects work to understand needs and then create complex high-quality solutions that make meaningful impact. You’ll be responsible for overall leadership and delivery of the solutions from requirement gathering through implementation. You’ll use your in-depth knowledge of leading-edge products and technologies along with industry and business skills to influence outcomes.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The Technical Solution Architect is responsible for working closely with customers to understand mission-critical company directives and develop technical solutions to support the business needs and technical requirements, then apply AI solutions to address the needs. This role is specifically required to use a mix of consultative skills, technical expertise, and the latest IBM AI software to guide customers in building solutions involving conversational and generative AI. This includes:
• Reviewing customers’ environment to ensure it meets all pre-requisites
• Migrate/upgrade/install pre-requisites in customers’ environment as needed
• Assess customers conversational and generative AI applications and requirements
• Help define customers’ conversational and generative AI strategy (approach, dependencies, impacts etc)
• Assist customers with designing and implementing conversational and generative AI application
• Assist customers with production planning and assessments
• Validating and adjusting IBM’s value propositions consumed with Customers in a qualitative and quantitative manners
Throughout the solutioning process, the Technical Solution Architect will lead workshops, discussions, and presentations to help customers understand advantages of proposed solutions and best practice approaches to conversational and generative AI including prompt-engineering, chatbot development, and search/information retrieval.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
1. Experience with generative AI models and platforms (e.g. watsonx.ai)
2. Experience with conversational AI platforms (e.g. watsonx Assistant)
3. Experience in end-to-end solution architecture
4. Good communication and writing skills
5. Strong skills in understanding customer requirements and pain points then applying technology to best address them.
6. Proficiency in communicating with external clients and internal stakeholders
7. Additional European language, despite mandatory fluent English are the must
8. Fluent with Risk Management Processes combining Technology & Business plethora
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
1. Experience with Data Science and traditional AI/ML modeling evaluation (classification, regression)
2. Experience with AI Governance
3. Experience with software development (Java, Python)
4. Experience in Suport/Professional Services, Customer Success, for EU’s Clients are preferrable
