Work You’ll Do 

As Product and Portfolio Senior Consultant, you will play a critical role in helping to define, update and execute the technology strategy of the Customer Offering Portfolio as well as the overall design and development of specific technology assets. You will work with our Domain, Sector and Offering leaders and their teams to clarify innovation needs, work go-to-market strategies, work with customer success on adoption and early customer programs, and work with engineering teams on user experience, architecture, design and development. 

This is a hands-on leadership role that includes both strategic planning and communications as well as day-to-day product management. You will be responsible for the following job functions:  

  • Research, identify and monitor market problems and trends 
  • Provide objective analysis of a potential market opportunity to provide a basis for investment and asset design / feature prioritization 
  • Gather and prioritize market, customer, and internal feedback and requirements; own the roadmap and backlog  
  • Work closely with our engineering teams to estimate effort, set scope and define timelines for all new development initiatives
  • Work with leadership to help drive revenue forecasts and deliver revenue objectives 
  • Participate in Buy / Build / Partner recommendations in support of product growth opportunities.  
  • Lead internal governance activities required for market entry 
  • Interface with other firm innovation teams (e.g. Consulting Business Innovation) to improve product development methods and processes  
  • Support innovation teams in all elements of bringing a product to market, engaging adjacent groups across Customer OP and the rest of Consulting
  • Own product planning and rolling out of the product through the roadmap, backlog and the creation of the features for each release
  • Support the periodic assessment of our innovation portfolio, ensuring continual optimization of our investments

The Team
We are Customer OP Innovation & Assets.
 We enable growth for the Customer OP by leading the development of new and enhanced client service offerings through:

  • Defining expectations and evaluating existing products and assets in the Customer OP Innovation Portfolio
  • Connecting across constituencies to identify areas for growth and innovation aligned with Customer’s priorities and strategic goals
  • Guiding the exploration of white space opportunities and offering perspective to shape early innovation initiatives
  • Providing leadership and expertise on emerging technologies
  • Securing funding and directing dedicated and incremental capacity for prioritized opportunities
  • Managing, building, and commercializing innovations

Required Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing or equivalent field; MBA preferred 
  • 3+ years of demonstrated success in client service with relevant skills, or in product management or product marketing role for software, analytics, AI or related fields
  • Proven record of assisting the developing and launching successful revenue-generating products
  • Experience with early-stage products and new product development from ideation specification through market launch and revenue generation 
  • Proven ability to successfully partner with internal senior stakeholders from various parts of the organization (e.g., Asset leadership, Alliances), with varying degrees of technical aptitude, and drive successful outcomes cross-functionally  
  • Experience working closely with an engineering organization to define applications and manage them through the entire product lifecycle  
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience with development and launch of revenue-generating products focused on data manipulation, visualization and/or next generation technologies. 
  • Well-developed judgment and problem-solving skills with the ability to juggle many competing priorities/deadlines. 
  • Strong technical background combined with solid business experience, verbal communication, and written communication skills. 

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $113,325 to $188,875.

You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
