SOS International LLC (SOSi) is seeking a highly qualified Data Engineer to structure and deliver datasets to the government.



Essential Job Duties

  • Ensure that data is clean, consistent, and secure. Poor data quality can lead to costly mistakes.
  • Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines.
  • Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability between different systems and platforms.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement optimizations to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Document technical designs, workflows, and best practices to facilitate knowledge sharing and maintain system documentation.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders as needed.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields or in a related field (Computer Science, Data Engineering, or Data Science).
  • The federal government requires employees on this contract to have the ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. This security clearance requires U.S. citizenship.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience with data science and/or engineering, with excellent performance.
  • Experience working with commercial AWS S3 and associated services, or comparative services from other cloud providers.
  • Demonstrated experience with programs of similar size and scope. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, and Word.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly concerning the ability to engage collaboratively and effectively in a virtual environment.
  • Strong time and task management skills.
  • Experience supporting data engineering requirements and systems within the IC.


Work Environment

  • Government site and remote.
