Responsibilities
Byers Engineering, a MasTec company, is seeking a full-time Outside Plant Fielder in support of a large-scale Telecommunications project.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
OSP Fielder will complete site visits within given market
Take legible field notes for the design of construction drawings in aerial, buried, underground, and building applications
Analyze work site and design requests then determine scope of work to be completed
Deliver projects within timeline and ensure quality of work completed
Pay attention to detail and communicate any concerns or updates with the OSP Designer
Interact with internal and external customers- represent Byers and our client in a professional manner
Adhere to all company safety practices and policies


Qualifications
Desired Skills:
Understanding of Telecom, Fiber, and Outside Plant preferred but not required
Relevant experience with utilities, cabling, or construction also considered
Excellent communication for daily interaction with various teams
Above average penmanship for hand-drawn field notes
Qualifications:
High school diploma and completed courses from technical school or community college preferred, but not required
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Qualify on pre-employment screening, including non-negligent driving record
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Willing to be trained and adapt to changing industry trends- continue education for Engineering design and best practices
Work Environment:
Work schedule to match hours of our customer and meet deadlines
Requires outdoor site visits in various weather conditions + remote work
Dress appropriately and meet safety standards while on-site
