As the managed services provider to TriWest, IBM provides infrastructure managed services and automation supporting TriWest’s DevSecOps. IBM will form cross-functional agile teams that are integrated with the TriWest development teams to deploy approximately 50 T-5 applications split in Azure GovCloud and Azure Commercial in the base period of the contract to meet SHCD. Categories of infrastructure managed services include billing/metering, network administration, service desk support, system administration, cloud engineering, security operations, security event management, security compliance, security engineering, incident response, and service catalog. Driven by deep technical and industry expertise, this model enables us to offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
Your Role and Responsibilities
The IBM Federal Hybrid Cloud Services (HCS) team is expanding our team in search of a Cloud Engineer. The Cloud Engineer must possess strong knowledge and experience leveraging Azure Cloud platforms and technologies (services, etc.) to design, develop, and implement multi-cloud environments using automation tools and technologies to exceed customer expectations. As a pivotal member of the squad for complex mission critical systems, you’ll also contribute by providing solutions for tiers 2 and 3 support (including advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis to expedite incident resolution).

In addition to your strong written and verbal communication skills, you’ll possess 5+ years’ experience with….

Developing automation and DevOps using cloud native and agnostic tools (Azure Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, Blueprints, Lambda, Terraform, Ansible, Python, etc.)

Software Defined Networking (SDN) for cloud native and marketplace tools (eg: Palo Altos, Fortinet, etc.)

Cloud integration with OEM APIs

Configuring and integrating Azure native monitoring to achieve observability
-
Cloud configuration management, policy management and security compliance
This position requires ONE or more of the following certifications within a CSP….

Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204)

Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience with cloud native security tools and security compliance
