Job Description: |
The truck drivers follow direction set by the trucking dispatcher/supervisor. The essential functions may include, but not limited to, hauling different types of material in and out of the facility, going to various customers sites, inspecting vehicles for mechanical or safety issues.
• Consistently ensure safe and accurate deliveries and pick-ups. • Drive trucks with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs. • Ensure equipment is safe and up to DOT standards before leaving each day by performing daily inspections. • Safely and efficiently unload loads and ensure the material getting loaded is safe. • Obtain paperwork from customers and ensure it reaches the appropriate destinations. • Map various routes. • Arrive by time set by dispatcher. • Maintain electronic logs. • Track and report working hours. • Comply with DOT standards. • Always make safety a priority.
