Job Description:
I-State Truck Center is looking for experienced Warehouse Associates at our Inver Grove Heights, Minnesota location. I-State Truck Center is a dealer for Western Star, Freightliner, Detroit Diesel, Mercedes, Cummins, CAT, Meritor & Eaton.
Warehouse/Parts Associates fulfills a critical role in our operations by answering phones, interface with customers, reference part numbers, aid customers, and participates in inventory. They also provide support to the service department. This is a critical position in ensuring that the company can locate and secure parts for jobs to be completed in a timely manner. Making sure we can access the parts in an efficient and cost-effective manner ensures we are representing our customer's best interest.
Pay Range: $20-$25/hour DOE
Job Duties:
Sort, pack and process core returns to vendors
Transport materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to workers
Assemble customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves or transports orders to packing station or shipping department
Mark materials with identifying information
File claims for short, damaged or wrong parts in shipments
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
Use computer to enter records
Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
Desired Qualities/Skills:
Experience operating forklifts
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience using Excel, Word, Outlook, etc., preferred
