JOB REQUIREMENTS: GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY: The Technical Writer Intern
position completes development and maintenance of documentation with
guidance from Senior Technical Writers. General duties include
developing and verifying portions of documents, completing editing
reviews, and supporting various functions within the writing team. The
Technical Writer Intern reports to the Technical Publications Manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Complete a capstone project defined by both
Manitou and the intern, specific to Manitou needs and the skills and
requirements for the intern program. The capstone project could
encompass written publication, video elements, interactive digital
content and or content management. Create technical documentation for
Manitou products. Develop and document procedures for operating and
maintaining Manitou products. \*\*\*\*\* OTHER EXPERIENCE AND
QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE: Interest in technical writing Background in
technical studies and communications Strong mastery of English, grammar
and writing Background in engineering is a plus. College level technical
writing classes a plus Videography experience a plus EXPERTISE:
Familiarity with office software (Google Suites) Familiarity with
Desktop Publishing software (Adobe, Framemaker, Indesign, Windchill)
Research and development skills and experience Problem solving
