Jacobs Technology Inc is currently seeking an Early Career Project Controls Professionals to work with our construction team at the Idaho National Lab.  The ideal candidates for this opportunity must be proficient in MS Office applications to support the flow of information and data. The individual will be familiar with cost, schedule and estimating and will be expected to support the project cost, schedule and estimating functions on the project.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • BA/BS degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications Excel, Word, Powerpoint, with working knowledge in MS Access
  • Ability to work onsite in a construction environment at the INL daily

Preferred qualifications:

  • Familiarity with scheduling software (P6/Primavera, MS Project), estimating (Pro Core, RS Means) and cost (Prism) is an advantage
  • Prior experience and execution of Project Controls work on federal government projects a plus
  • The ideal candidate for this position will already reside a commutable distance from Idaho National Lab
  • Knowledge cost tracking for field activities, estimating the remaining project funding.

Essential Requirements

Physical Requirements: Work is primarily sedentary. Some walking and standing may occur in the course of a normal workday in connection with travel to and from meeting and conferences. May carry light items, such as reports, data products, notebooks and laptops. 

Work Environment:

Cubical environment

May be in a restricted work area.

Criticality of Attendance:

Must be able to work within the normal daytime shift

With the exception of STD/LTD/FMLA & approved time off, attendance is considered essential.

Equipment and Machines:

Standard office equipment and machines: personal computer, scanner, copy machine, telephone, printer, fax machine, and other office equipment including desk supplies.

Other Essential Functions:

Must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance.

Must pass drug testing.

Must be able to read and write effectively in English.
