POSITION OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our team. The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in general assembly techniques and procedures. The role will be responsible for assembling parts to form complete units or subassemblies on a bench or on the floor. Work from detailed assembly drawings, specifications, and plan layouts using flowcharts.
The Electrical Assembler will work in a lab-type environment with temperature-controlled conditions, utilizing both hand tools and power tools, as well as machining equipment. Attention to detail, the ability to interpret assembly drawings, and a strong understanding of electrical assembly processes are essential for success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble mechanical parts and components to form complete units or subassemblies.
- Follow detailed assembly drawings, specifications, and plan layouts using flowcharts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment to perform assembly tasks.
- Ensure all parts are fitted and aligned correctly and that any adjustments are made as necessary.
- Verify specifications and perform quality checks to ensure the final product meets required standards.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to identify and resolve assembly-related issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance assembly processes and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper handling and storage of tools and materials.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Report any defects, malfunctions, or deviations in the assembly process to the appropriate personnel.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hands-on mechanical assembly.
- Proficiency in general assembly techniques and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, specifications, and plan layouts.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain precision throughout the assembly process.
- Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and follow assembly procedures.
- Comfortable working in a lab-type environment with temperature-controlled conditions.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
