Description $20.00-$23.00 hourly depending on experience. This position description incorporates the core responsibilities of the job. It recognizes that other related duties not specifically mentioned might also be performed, and that not all responsibilities may be carried out depending on operational needs. Position Summary Responsible for the cleaning and preparation of rooms for the guest, including balconies the cleaning of public areas in each property including the banquet room, guest reception area, hallways, elevators, public restrooms, etc. Inspecting completed rooms to insure IOA standards are met. Training of new employees candidate must have weekend and flexible availability Essential Functions Clean assigned rooms according to IOA cleanliness standards. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, removing trash and arranging furniture and other responsibilities as requested. Keep public areas neat and remove trash, mop floors and clean carpets as necessary. Clean light fixtures, ceiling fans, windows, and glass doors as assigned. Place and restock useable items in the rooms including paper items, soap, and towels. Clean exterior entry areas and hallways. Log store lost and found items Deal with unusual or out of the ordinary situations in guest rooms Use multiple software systems to communicate and accomplish daily tasks and Accommodate guests special requests. Ensure confidentiality and security of the room. Report any maintenance needs to the appropriate source Other duties as assigned Additional Responsibilities: Adhere to all work rules, procedures and policies established by the Inns of Aurora, including, but not limited to, those contained in the employee handbook. The Inn operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands, seasonality and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work. Requirements Education and Experience Previous experience as a housekeeper, house attendant in a luxury setting, hotel, or in Quality Assurance Ability to lead and direct a team Supporting Management team daily Distribute and apply new standards and practices Ability to stand for long periods of time Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. Ability to work independently Attention to detail Ability to climb stairs multiple times during your shift Support for Front Desk, Inn Keepers as well as guest to create a positive guest experience.
