Responsible for leading Consumer Credit Card products and teammates to meet client needs while driving primacy goals for Truist. and realization of Truist's purpose, mission, values and goals. Includes responsibility for driving key profit and loss (P&L) goals, realization of performance metrics, and superior client outcomes through best in class products and services, partnering with internal and external organizations to create relevant and effective value proposition for clients; including rewards, pricing, experience, service, compliance, and adherence to enterprise risk appetite.

Job Description

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1.Team Development: Build and Lead the team developing and managing products increasing performance through talent management, development, and succession planning. Encourage a culture that focuses on collaboration, innovation, and execution mindset.

  1. Product Development: Build profitable products that achieve business growth objectives. Focus on P&L accountability; identify risks and opportunities; support business case development, forecasting and budgeting; develop strategic and tactical product roadmaps; design and implement relevant and compelling value proposition; management of competitive pricing & profitability metrics; integration with platform capabilities, operations and channel readiness

  2. Develop and commercialize new products and platform capabilities: drive leadership and direction for product teammates including prioritization, business cases, business & functional requirements, project management, operational and channel readiness, product content, support agile, digital, and iterative development

  3. Manage profitable client focused solutions throughout the product life cycle: accountability for Consumer Credit Card including leadership and direction regarding growth, optimize, retire strategies and execution as well as prioritization of requirements amongst key partners in originations, servicing, operations, digital, marketing, finance, market execs/channels to ensure continual evolution great products/experiences to meet client needs

  4. Build Relationships: build and grow internal relationships, both horizontally and vertically in the organization, to develop successful professional working relationships and partnerships. Reach out frequently to engage support partners; develop two-way communication through clear and concise means to deliver updates on projects, team/individual recognition, feedback and commentary

  5. Successfully navigate evolving industry landscape: within product suite(s) drive competitive position, client research, market demand by analyzing needs and developing product solutions that align with the overall business strategy and client needs. Support membership/representation in select associations and industry groups

  6. Risk Mitigation: Ensure effective regulatory, legal, compliance, business governance, change and quality management: meet needs of our customers while adhering to all product policies and regulations ensuring all legal, compliance and audit standards are fully met

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business or related field, or equivalent education or related training

  2. 7+ years of proven senior leadership experience directly managing product portfolios and teams (Banking, Credit Card and/or Debit Card)

  3. 10+ years of product management, finance, credit risk management and sales experience within financial services or credit card industry

  4. Advanced Analytical skills (assessment/ decision making/ problem solving), priority setting, strategic planning, execution, communication, presentation, business acumen

  5. Foresight to ensure balance of strategy, execution and operational requirements relative to risks and costs

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master's degree or equivalent education and related training

  2. 10+ years of proven senior leadership experience directly managing credit card product portfolios and product teams

  3. 10+ years of product management, finance, credit risk management and sales experience within financial services or credit card industry

  4. Extensive knowledge of P&L dynamics and unique drivers related to Credit Cards
